Your April 2026 Turkish Wine Horoscope
Has spring finally sprung? Based on the latest weather and the forecast, it’s hard to tell. However, Easter is just around the corner, flowers seem to be blooming, and the few sunny days lately have given me hope. They say that spring is not for the faint of heart. It’s a time of (re)birth when the earth heals from the scars of winter, birthing and healing are not comfortable situations. While everything may look pretty on the surface, remember what effort goes on to get those bud bursts to happen.
If the earth can come back from winter trauma year after year, we can all have hope that we’ll also recover from what we’ve had to endure. Hopefully, this spring will bring healing and new life to us all. Read on to discover what your April 2026 Turkish wine horoscope has in store for you.
And remember, if you’re not somewhere with easy access to Turkish wine, don’t hesitate to reach out (to me, the universe doesn’t always respond to email) for alternative recommendations.
Aries (March 21 – April 19)
Your attention shifts toward what is worth sustaining, not just starting. There is less interest in quick wins and more curiosity about what can actually last. You may surprise yourself by sticking with something longer than usual and finding satisfaction in the follow-through. Momentum looks different when it is maintained, not chased.

Power Move: Sustaining what you start.
Your Vibe: Steady drive, building something real.
The wine for you …
What is worth sustaining? Of course that answer is different for everyone, but it’s certainly something you’ll be pondering this month. Kastro Tireli believes in sustaining both the environment through its more than organic farming, and the quality of its wine. This April, drink the Kastro Tireli Elaia rosé. A blend of Kalecik Karası, Syrah, and Mourvédre, this Provençal-style rosé is light and crisp. And with Kastro Tireli’s commitment to the environment, you’re also saving the planet by drinking their wine!
Look for it at places like Gözde Tekel, İyi Şarap, Mensis Mahzen, Rind, Savoy Tekel, etc.
Taurus (April 20 – May 20)
There is a quiet expansion happening in your world. You are opening up to new experiences without abandoning your need for stability. Something unfamiliar begins to feel comfortable, even exciting, once you let yourself explore it at your own pace. Growth does not have to feel chaotic to be real.
Power Move: Opening up without losing your center.
Your Vibe: Grounded, curious, subtly expanding.
The wine for you …
Have you heard of the Turkish grape ‘fox tail’? This month, take that curiosity and desire to be open to new experiences and direct it towards getting a bottle of the Likya Fox rosé. Made with a grape called Tilki Kuyruğu (fox tail in English), this is a fresh and delightful rosé that pairs well with light foods or that would drink well as an aperitif with festive holiday canapes!
Not the easiest wine to find, but look for it at places like Gözde Tekel, Grand Cru, Rind, Vinus.
Gemini (May 20 – June 20)
Your instincts around timing sharpen. You know when to speak, when to wait, and when to pivot. That awareness changes how others respond to you. Instead of filling every space, you are using your voice more intentionally, and it lands with more impact.
Power Move: Speaking with precision.
Your Vibe: Observant, witty, well-timed.
The wine for you …
Knowing when you should pivot and actually doing it are two different things. The first is tricky, the second can feel impossible. Take courage and inspiration this month from Arcadia founder Zeynep Arca Şalliel. She spent years dreaming about wine and agriculture before giving up a solid career and opening a winery. This month, open a bottle of Arcadia Roze, a fantastic Cabernet Sauvignon – Merlot blend that’s nice enough on its own, but also pairs really well with various foods.
Look for it at Casa Botti, Gözde Tekel, İyi Şarap, La Cave, Mensis Mahzen, Dekante, maybe Macro Center and Casa Botti?
Cancer (June 21 – July 22)
You are redefining what support looks like in your life. It becomes clearer who shows up consistently and who does not. That clarity helps you invest your energy more wisely. There is comfort in knowing you can rely on yourself first and still welcome others in.
Power Move: Choosing reliable connections.
Your Vibe: Nurtured, discerning, emotionally clear.
The wine for you …
Cooperation has not been a hallmark of the Turkish wine industry. Even now there’s a sense that wineries cooperate only to a degree. However, when they work together and support one another, it strengthens the industry and improves things like availability and accessibility. Nif Bağları is one winery that’s decided support is more important than keeping to themselves and has joined the newest wine route, Lidya Antik Bağ Rotası. Take a leaf from their vine this month and drink the Nif Bağları Aegean Rosé, a 50/50 blend of Sangiovese and Kalecik Karası.
Fairly widely available, you should be able to find this at places like Carrefour, Gözde Tekel, İyi Şarap, Macro Center, Mensis Mahzen, Savoy Tekel, Vina Wine and More, etc.
Leo (July 23 – August 22)
Your creativity takes on a more personal tone. You are less focused on how things are received and more interested in how they feel to create. That shift brings a sense of freedom back into your expression. When you enjoy the process, the outcome takes care of itself.
Power Move: Creating for your own fulfillment.
Your Vibe: Expressive, free, genuinely lit up.
The wine for you …
If creativity and expression are the name of the game this month, then you need to be drinking the Chateau Nuzun Rose which is a a very creative blend including Merlot, Çatal Karası, Öküzgözü, and Zinfandel. This is a darker rosé displaying aromas of red fruit an herbs and that has some serious structure going on. Very food friendly too. Let Nazan’s creativity with this blend inspire your own!
Not always an easy wine to find but I know for a fact that Rind carries it, Casa Botti might also have it. And remember, it never hurts to ask a shop to order specific wines, especially if they already carry some of that winery’s wines.
Virgo (August 23 – September 22)
You are recognizing where your energy is best spent and where it quietly drains away. That awareness leads to better boundaries around your time and attention. It is not about doing less, it is about doing what actually matters.
Power Move: Prioritizing what is effective.
Your Vibe: Disciplined, clear, energetically efficient.
The wine for you …
If any winery knows about prioritizing what’s important, it’s Midin. It was founded in order to save a small Assyrian village’s ancient vines from being pulled up in favor of more profitable crops. Midin winery works closely with the villagers now on tending the vines and making the wine. This month look for a bottle of the winery’s rosé: Midin Pembehi.
Get it at places like La Cave, Mahzen 26, Mensis Mahzen, Gözde Tekel, Macro Center, etc.
Libra (September 23 – October 22)
There is a stronger sense of direction guiding your choices. You are no longer weighing every option endlessly. Something clicks, and decisions feel more natural. Trust builds when you see yourself following through without second-guessing.
Power Move: Trusting your own judgment.
Your Vibe: Decisive, balanced, self-assured.
The wine for you …
When something just clicks for you, you gotta do it. It can be scary though as it might mean giving up the known or the stable. Find inspiration from Canan Gerimli, founder of Gordias winery. She was a pharmacist…a pretty secure job. But she knew it wasn’t right for her. What did click? Wine. And she’s made a fantastic success. Your wine for April is the Gordias Kalecik Karası Beyazı. Drink it and wait for the click.
Sadly, this is not the easiest wine to find. Check Solera, maybe also check places like Dekante or Grand Cru.
Scorpio (October 23 – November 22)
You are allowing more lightness into spaces that used to feel intense. Not everything needs to be examined so deeply. Letting moments be simple brings a different kind of power. You are still in control, just without the weight.
Power Move: Letting things be simple.
Your Vibe: Calm, contained, quietly evolving.
The wine for you …
Letting in lightness is important in the wine world too. For example, wine can be fun. It doesn’t need to always be so serious. That’s one of the great things Büyülübağ is doing these days with its new Meltemi line. Simple (but still good!) wines with bright, fun labels. This month, let the light in with a bottle of Büyülübağ Meltemi Ada Karası Rosé.
Look for it at Carrefour, İyi Şarap, Solera, Vina Wine & More, and elsewhere.
Sagittarius (November 23 – December 22)
Your sense of direction becomes more personal. Instead of following what excites others, you are tuning into what genuinely motivates you. That shift brings a clearer path forward, one that feels sustainable rather than temporary.
Power Move: Following your own sense of purpose.
Your Vibe: Aligned, independent, forward-looking.
The wine for you …
Ardıç Gürsel found her purpose, introducing people to Turkish grapes, years ago. It took her many years to achieve her dream of opening a winery to do that, but she persisted. Her direction led to the creation of one of the country’s most recognizable wineries that has contributed several firsts to the industry; the first to create a traditional method sparkling wine with a native grape, the first to work with Hasandede, and more.
This month, while you’re off finding your purpose, open a bottle of the Vinkara Minoj Kalecik Karası rosé.
This should be pretty easy to find as it’s carried at most Carrefours, Migros, Macro Center, Dekante, İyi Şarap, Mahzen 26, Mensis Mahzen, probably Rind, likely Apertivo, and Casa Botti, etc., etc.
Although please note – the label as been changed from what’s pictured. It used to be adorable; it’s boring and forgettable now.
Capricorn (December 23 – January 19)
You are noticing the value of pacing yourself. There is less urgency to prove something and more focus on building steadily. This approach creates a sense of control that feels calm instead of pressured.
Power Move: Moving at a sustainable pace.
Your Vibe: Composed, strategic, quietly in control.
The wine for you …
There’s moving at a sustainable pace and there’s being strategic about how and where you’re moving. They’re not always the same. One winery though that knows about being strategic is 7Bilgeler. When the winery saw how popular native grapes were starting to become, it switched focus (but did not abandon) from all the international grapes it previously leaned on. This month, try one of these strategic wines: 7Bilgeler Vindemia Rüzgar Karasakız Rosé.
Look for this at places like La Commune, İyi Şarap, Rind, La Cave, Mensis Mahzen, Dekante, maybe Santé Wine & More, and Casa Botti…
Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)
Your perspective is widening in a way that changes how you approach problems. You are seeing options where there used to be limits. That shift makes your ideas more adaptable and easier to bring into reality.

Power Move: Thinking beyond the obvious.
Your Vibe: Expansive, inventive, mentally agile.
The wine for you …
When the Boztepe family made the switch from commercially farming table grapes to wine grapes, Ercan Boztepe really thought beyond the obvious about which grapes he would plant. He didn’t go native…but then he also didn’t go with any of the French grapes that are so popular in Turkey. He planted something no one else had…Nebbiolo. This month, get a bottle of the Sobran Bağları Nebblush, a crisp rosé made with this famous Piemontese grape.
Look for this at places like Mensis Mahzen, maybe Gözde Tekel, Solera might have it.
Pisces (February 19 – March 20)
You are becoming more comfortable being seen for who you actually are. There is less desire to blend into the background and more willingness to take up space in your own way. That visibility feels natural, not forced.
Power Move: Showing up as your full self.
Your Vibe: Open, present, quietly radiant.
The wine for you …
Showing up as your best self can mean proudly weaving your traditions into everything you do, as with the Prius Winery Marteniçka Martenitsa rosé. The wine takes its name from the spring tradition of wearing a martenitsa (marteniçka in Turkish), a small ornament or simple bracelet made out of white and red yarn. Check out the post link for more information about both the tradition and the wine!
Get this from places like La Commune, Mensis Mahzen, possibly La Cave, sometimes İyi Şarap, elsewhere, let me know.
