Your June 2025 Turkish Wine Horoscope
June 1, 2025 0 Comments 9Amber Wine, Articles, Orange Wine, Red Wine, Rose Wine, Sweet Wine, Turkish Wine, White Wine
Congratulations, you’ve made it to June — the halfway point of the year, where to-do lists meet beach days, and productivity wrestles with balcony lounging. This is the season of long evenings, spontaneous road trips, and discovering that yes, sunscreen should have been applied 20 minutes ago.
June is that magical time when the mangal is always hot, your calendar is suddenly full, and everyone starts pretending they’ve always liked rosé Whether you’re chasing big dreams, weekend naps, or just the ice cream truck, this month brings the perfect blend of chaos and charm.
So grab your wine glasses and get ready — June’s here, and it has some new wine recommendations for you.
Aries (March 21 – April 19)
Your sense of identity is undergoing a quiet but profound transformation — less a dramatic upheaval, more a deliberate unravelling. One part of you insists, with growing clarity, that it’s time to strip away illusions and draw firmer lines. Another part gently urges you to lean into comfort, to cultivate the kind of belonging that feels both soft and sustaining.
You may find yourself suspended between two truths: the person you’ve been and the person you’re becoming. It can feel disorienting, even disheartening — this tension between dismantling and rebuilding. But make no mistake: this isn’t collapse, it’s construction. You’re being invited to rebuild yourself with intention — slowly, honestly, and from the foundation up.
So when the inner pressure rises, ask yourself: which version of you has served its purpose — and what might emerge once it’s let go?
The wine for you …
While you might feel confused or concerned having different versions of yourself vying for control, having different versions of wine is a more positive thing! This month, find comfort with the knowledge that, if a grape can change and evolve into different versions of itself, so can you. Pick up a bottle of the new Vinkara Atelier Kalecik Karası blanc de noir.
Vinkara wines are pretty widely available so you should be able to find this one at places like Carrefour, Dekante, Grand Cru, Iyi Sarap, La Cave, Macro Center, Mensis Mahzen, Migros, Solera, etc.
Taurus (April 20 – May 20)
Lately, love may have felt like a bit of a whirlwind — all bold moves and restless energy. But now, something shifts. The pace slows. You’re drawn inward, into a softer, quieter space where connection feels more like a whisper than a shout. Intimacy becomes something you carry gently, almost secretly, like a treasure too delicate for the spotlight.
And just when you begin to settle into that calm, something stirs. Old feelings, forgotten truths, the things you thought you’d neatly tucked away — they rise to the surface, uninvited but insistent. It’s raw. It’s real. And yes, it’s uncomfortable. But it’s also a wake-up call.
This isn’t just about romance or longing. It’s about breaking open the shell to get to what’s real. If your heart feels a little heavy or your wants feel tangled, take a breath. You’re not falling apart — you’re making space. What comes next begins with honesty, even the kind that stings a little. Because once the truth is in the light, that’s when things finally start to bloom.
The wine for you …
For your month of inward reflection, pick up a bottle of wine that wants savoring and that itself invites you to be more thoughtful: Heraki Akuarela Karasakız. Karasakız is not an ‘obvious’ wine. Its pale ruby color hides a vast depths waiting to be discovered with gentle exploration. As you journey through the layers of this wine and reflect on the remarkable flavors found within, you will better be able to reflect on your own depths and secrets.
Find Heraki wines at shops like La Cave, Mensis Mahzen, Casa Botti, Grand Cru, Santé Wines & More, and Iyi Sarap. Plus! (if you’re reading this in the US!) at Texas-based Fine Turkish Wines!
Gemini (May 20 – June 20)
Over the past year, you’ve been quietly expanding — not in the loud, obvious ways, but in the deep, layered sense of truly coming into yourself. You’ve started to see just how complex you really are — the brilliance, the contradictions, the quiet strength in your shadows. And maybe, for the first time, you’ve realized you don’t have to fit neatly into anyone’s expectations — least of all your own.
But now comes the next step. It’s not just about knowing who you are — it’s about living it. Out loud. With intention. The invitation on the table is this: what will you create from this richer, more honest version of you? What kind of work, love, or life might you build when you stop editing yourself to make others more comfortable?
As the spotlight starts to shift, this is your moment to be seen — not the polished version, but the full, unfiltered you. No more masks. No more shrinking. You’ve done the private growth. Now let the world meet the whole story.
The wine for you …
Speaking of the full, unfiltered version of things with no masks…that’s exactly the kind of wine you need this month. Take a leaf from the winemaker behind the Kastro Tireli Low Intervention Kalecik Karası. Beginning with organic grapes, initial fruit selection in the vineyard, and finally selecting the best of the best berries in the vineyard allows Kastro Tireli to spontaneously ferment its grapes while still creating a clean wine.
Look for this at shops like Rind, Iyi Sarap, likely Dekante, Online Mahzen, Grand Cru, maybe Casa Botti, but always from the Kastro Tireli shop hidden away in Kuruçeşme.
Cancer (June 21 – July 22)
This month, the spotlight’s squarely on you — and not in a subtle way. The energy is vivid, electric, and deeply personal, like the world is finally seeing you in full color. It’s the kind of moment that says: This is who I am — no filter, no apology.
You may feel a wave of clarity rising, a sharper sense of self cutting through the noise and expectations that usually crowd the stage. Parts of you that have been quietly waiting in the wings are ready to take center stage.
But it’s not just about visibility — it’s about purpose. You’re being asked to stretch, to dream bigger, and to move with both ambition and integrity. What do you truly want to create in the world? And how can you pursue it with confidence, not guilt?
This is a rare kind of momentum — bold, honest, and brimming with possibility. Use it well.
The wine for you …
Need some help finding vivid, electric energy? Open a bottle of the Tasheli Gök Üzüm Kehribar this month. Made with 100% Gök Üzüm, the must spent some time on the skins giving the wine a gentle orange glow and a slightly fuller flavor that you get with direct press Gök. Do NOT drink this right out of the fridge. This should be drunk only lightly chilled and preferably allowed to breathe for 30 minutes or so.
Try Casa Botti, Grand Cru, and Solera for this one.
Leo (July 23 – August 22)
This month, it’s like someone’s cracked open the vault of your subconscious — and everything you’ve tucked away is spilling into the light. Old memories, buried emotions, things you thought you’d left behind… they’re all rising up, asking to be seen, felt, and finally understood.
It might feel a little chaotic, even unnerving, like reading a diary you forgot you wrote. But there’s a strange kind of freedom in it too — a release. When the inner world opens up this wide, you’re offered a rare chance to reconnect with parts of yourself you’ve long ignored.
This is a time to look deeper than usual — to reach past the surface and listen closely to the stories that shaped you. Maybe it’s a conversation with someone from your past. Maybe it’s an emotional thread that leads back to family, memory, or origin. Whatever it is, pay attention.
There’s power in what’s coming up — and healing in the honesty of facing it.
The wine for you …
Once you’ve revealed your true depths and abilities, there’s no going backwards. Just like with Thracian grape, Papazkarası. This one spent a long time in the shadows. Then, suddenly, there was an explosion of wine made with it exploring its various expressions as a varietal, blend, rosé, and blanc de noir. This month, as you’re plumbing your own depths, see what Papazkarası has revealed with a bottle of Arda Gala Papazkarası blanc de noir.
Look for this at places like Carrefour, Macro Center, Migros, Online Mahzen, Rind, Mensis Mahzen, and so on.
Virgo (August 23 – September 22)
Suddenly, your phone won’t stop buzzing. Invitations, check-ins, surprise reunions — it’s like a party sprang to life and you didn’t even know you were on the guest list. The energy? Unmistakably electric. There’s laughter in the air, sparks in old connections, and a sense that something real is stirring.
But beneath the fun, something deeper is happening. You’re revisiting old friendship wounds — the cracks, the silences, the people you lost or drifted from. And somehow, without forcing it, those fractures start to mend. The right people are finding their way back to you… or maybe you’re finally finding your way to the right people.
Then, just when you think you’ve got a handle on it, something (or someone) nudges you beyond your comfort zone. A new place. A new face. A sense of belonging you didn’t expect but instantly recognize.
It’s messy. It’s meaningful. And it’s asking you one thing: are you ready to let yourself belong again? Because if you are, the doors are open — and your people are already inside, waiting.
The wine for you …
This June, you need a wine that is both easy to help you get through the harder days, but that’s also delicious enough to please everyone during the days of social whirl. You need to pick up a bottle of the Arcadia Odrysia Gris. This dangerously drinkable wine pairs well with food, is happy on its own, and loves to be shared. And bonus, because it’s oddly overlooked by many, you can often find it for a pretty decent price.
Get it from Mensis Mahzen, Iyi Sarap, Dekante, La Cave, possibly Casa Botti, I feel like I’ve seen it at Macro Center…
Libra (September 23 – October 22)
Let’s be honest — the job market isn’t exactly a smooth ride right now. But here’s a truth that still holds: connections matter. The right conversations, the right timing, the right “Hey, I thought of you for this…” can change everything. And you might be closer to that breakthrough than you think.
This moment? It’s your cue. Not to wait around, but to step up and be seen. Think of it like a quiet nudge saying: Build something. Make it yours. Whether it’s your portfolio, your personal brand, or just finally owning your voice, this is the time to plant the flag and say, “Here’s who I am — and here’s what I bring.”
Don’t just hope it happens — shape it. Get clear. Write down your vision — not a to-do list, but the bigger picture. Frame it. Keep it where you’ll see it. Let it remind you that you’re not just chasing opportunity — you’re creating it.
The next six months could be a turning point. Make sure they’re moving in your direction.
The wine for you …
This is a mad difficult situation you’re in right now. You certainly are not the only one who’s ever had to deal with it though. Providing company for misery doesn’t really do anyone any good. But you can take comfort from the fact that, if someone else can make a big breakthrough, so can you. Take the winery Kuzubağ for example. Not only is this winery part of the movement to increase the reputation of Çal wines, it’s leading it.
Enjoy a bottle of the Kuzubağ Çal Karası Kaelcik Karası rosé this month and feel inspired and encouraged!
Find it at places like Comedus, Rind, Casa Botti, La Commune (great prices!), Mensis Mahzen, etc.
Scorpio (October 23 – November 22)
Over the past year, you’ve had to take a long, honest look at the stories you’ve been living — especially the ones that weren’t really yours to begin with. The voices in your head, the expectations you absorbed, the old scripts handed to you without consent? It’s time to put the pen back in your own hand.
This is the moment to let go of the outdated narratives — like shrugging off a heavy coat at the first sign of spring — and step into something more alive, more you. Get curious. Let yourself explore. What lights you up in the world around you? What excites your mind, your spirit, your creativity? Take it in, remix it, and make it yours.
And if you’re feeling a little stuck or restless, that’s a clue. It’s time to dig deeper — not into what you should value, but what genuinely gives you a sense of purpose and peace. Where are you playing it safe? Where have you been holding back because it felt easier than risking real growth?
This is your chance to trade boredom for boldness. The story is yours now — make it a good one.
The wine for you …
You know how’s not getting bored? The folks at Mozaik winery. Sure, they’re not contributing to the development of native Turkish grapes…but, nor are they flooding us with more unnecessary Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, or Syrah. Tannat, Corinot, Rebo, Ekigaina…these are just a few of the oddities and different-from-the-mainstream wines they’ve given us.
Be inspired by the winery’s boldness and find some of your own in a bottle of the Mozaik Mahrem Marselan.
Not very widely available, but you can often find Mozaik wines at places like Mensis Mahzen, Rind, Iyi Sarap, maybe Grand Cru or Dekante…
Sagittarius (November 23 – December 22)
You’re stepping into a season of deep emotional reckoning — not the kind you can brush off with a good playlist or a weekend away, but the kind that asks you to sit with what’s real. Old wounds, long-buried fears, hard truths you’ve tiptoed around? They’re rising to the surface, asking for your full attention.
But here’s the thing: this isn’t about falling apart. It’s about breaking through. You’re shedding layers that were never truly yours, peeling back the noise to find the core of who you are. It might feel intense — even a little raw — but it’s meaningful. Necessary. By the time the dust settles, you’ll be standing in new skin: stronger, clearer, and more fully you.
And just when you think it’s all shadow work and soul-searching, life throws in a twist of flavor. A little adventure. A burst of energy that wakes up your appetite for something different — something bolder. So go ahead: rethink the menu. Try something new. You’re not who you were a month ago, and your tastes are evolving too.
The question now is: what are you hungry for?
The wine for you …
It’s funny how many winery owners in Turkey started their lives one way, in one career, before realizing that what they were doing wasn’t for them, wasn’t them. Bilge Yamen of 7Bilgeler is a great example. He was a dentist (and indeed continued his practice for several years after opening the winery). It took many years, but his love of wine, food, philosophy, and jazz eventually spurred him to peel away the parts of his life that weren’t really him and embrace what was. So, this June, look for a bottle of the (dry) 7Bilgeler Vindemia Güz Bornova Misketi and let his experience give you courage.
Comedus, Dekante likely, La Commune, Rind, Iyi Sarap, Santé Wine & More, probably Casa Botti, etc.
Capricorn (December 23 – January 19)
What are your relationships really showing you—especially when they push your buttons or make your blood boil? Those moments of irritation or frustration? Think of them as mirrors, reflecting back the edges you haven’t fully explored yet. They reveal where your boundaries truly lie, what fears you’ve been avoiding, and which parts of you are quietly begging for acknowledgment.
Instead of brushing off the discomfort or running from the tension, lean into it. These messy, tangled moments aren’t just noise — they’re clues. The give and take, the push and pull, all of it carries valuable insight if you’re willing to pay attention.
If you’re longing for a deeper connection or craving a richer understanding of what truly brings you joy, this is your moment to get clear. Set an intention, make a wish — and open yourself to the possibilities that lie just beneath the surface.
The wine for you …
If any winery knows about relationships, it’s Midin. It was founded in order to save a small Assyrian village’s ancient vines from being pulled up in favor of more profitable crops. Midin winery works closely with the villagers now on tending the vines and making the wine. Many of the wine labels even acknowledge the names of the villagers whose grapes were used in that wine. This month, celebrate these connections and look for a bottle of the winery’s rosé: Midin Pembehi.
Get it at places like La Cave, Mahzen 26, Mensis Mahzen, Gözde Tekel, Macro Center, etc.
Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)
You might be staring down a pile of work right now, wondering what on earth to do with it — or why it even matters. But the era of doing just to stay busy is done. What lands on your plate now? It has to mean something. It has to serve you — your goals, your values, your actual life.
Sure, it might show up wrapped in spreadsheets or awkward first steps. But look closer: there’s a deeper question underneath it all — Can this work point me toward something real?
In a world that rewards hustle, speed, and checking boxes, it takes guts to slow down and ask for meaning. Your work doesn’t have to shake the earth to matter. It just has to feel honest. Aligned. Worth your time.
So instead of asking, “How do I keep up?” try asking, “What’s actually worth doing?” That shift? That’s your compass. And it might just change everything.
The wine for you …
To help you on your journey this month, you need a wine that is meaningful. When looking for meaningful wines, you never need look further than Paşaeli. One of the (if not the) first wineries to make a concentrated effort to rescue dying out and overlooked native grapes, Paşaeli’s careful conservation practices have given us so many grapes over the years, including your wine this month, the Paşaeli Sıdalan.
Look for this at places like Carrefour, Comedus, Mensis Mahzen, Dekante, probably Casa Botti, sometimes Santé Wine & More, Grand Cru, etc.
Pisces (February 19 – March 20)
You’re someone who seeks beauty — not just in the mirror or the art on your walls, but in the way life feels. And lately, a softer part of you has started to stir. Not the daydreamer chasing fairy tales, but the version of you that craves something real: slow mornings, shared glances, quiet care. The kind of intimacy that doesn’t ask for performance — just presence.
This isn’t about escaping reality. It’s about reshaping it with intention. About choosing tenderness, not as a weakness, but as a way of life. What would it look like to move through your days as if devotion — to people, to purpose, to yourself — actually mattered?
You’re also deeply ambitious. You want to grow, to build, to become. Balancing that hunger with your need for intimacy might feel like walking a tightrope — but who says you can’t do both?
The question now is: how do you make room for both your fire and your softness — without dimming either?
The wine for you …
One way to step into your softness this month is to choose a wine on the sweeter side. A semi-sweet wine, like the Ma’Adra Bornova Misketi, will get you started on the right foot. Not to mention, this wine 100% answers the question about how to make room for fire and softness without dimming either!! Semi-sweet wine is a fantastic foil for spicy food! Try pairing this with something on the spicier side this month, even something as simple as cig köfte, and you’ll see just what kind of balance you can also strike.
Look for it at Mensis Mahzen, Rind, ask at Grand Cru, Dekante, Casa Botti…
